Greetings Sandy Run K-8 Gators,

The Sandy Run K-8 School family would like to welcome back all returning and new family members.  We are anticipating another exciting year and hope you are too!  As a school family, we strive to ensure our students feel welcome, challenged and connected.  You'll have a great time as you experience opportunities and success in a positive learning community that fosters growth through teaching and learning.  Together, we are on a journey to excellence, a place where every student reaches his or her highest potential, while being empowered to compete and succeed.

Sandy Run K-8 School remains an epicenter for transforming learning.  This continuous transformation is a result of teacher dedication, the use of  research based best practices, analysis of data, and blended learning through one-to-one technology.  In addition, students have ninety minutes of uninterrupted reading instruction in grades K-8 as outlined in the school's Reading Plan.  Innovative learning, encompassed with hands-on opportunities, are just a few of the tools that assist with meeting the individual needs of every student.

It is certainly a privilege to be a part of a community where the school, family,  School Improvement Council, and Calhoun County Public Schools care for each other and strive to build positive relationships.  The sharing of educational responsibility continues to make a positive impact on our students and assists the school with embracing both the academic and social needs of every student.

Again, on behalf of the entire Sandy Run K-8 School family, welcome back!  Let's make it a great year!
